Simple Harmony Farms is a small family enterprise deeply committed to farming using organic principles and sustainable practices. We love to produce delicious, wholesome “real” food without pervasive chemicals. Sharing the excellence of fresh food with others who appreciate it is a joy.
Since moving the farm from Hammond to Loranger in 2009, Simple Harmony Farms has grown to include an apiary, producing delicious raw honey that is never heated and only lightly filtered.
Our honey can be found at the Hammond Farmers Market every Saturday from 8am until noon.
Pasture Raised Eggs
Simple Harmony’s layers are raised in chicken tractors, like those pioneered by Joel Salatin of Polyface Farms. Our birds are on fresh forage every day making them not only healthy, but happy and the producers of superior eggs.
Eggs from pastured chicken typically contains three times more vitamin E, two times more omega-3, seven times more beta-carotene and one-third less cholesterol than eggs harvested from conventionally raised chicken.
